Thomas
D Schaeberle , V.M.D.
Dr.
Schaeberle is an owning partner and started
Shiloh Veterinary Hospital
in 1979 as a 1
doctor clinic that was located on
Carlisle Road.
In 1987, he opened
the hospital we now know
in
Weiglestown.
His
dream to expand the hospital was fulfilled when we opened our second hospital in
Manchester
in
February 2008.
Growing up in a farming environment until the age of 14, he chose a career in veterinary medicine at a young age. Dr. Schaeberle graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
His favorite part of his day is working with the many great people and pets that come in for appointments. He loves that he gets to share in the joy of pet ownership with them and watch how families grow over the many years.
When Dr. Schaeberle is not in the office you can find him swimming, biking and of course spending time with his wonderful wife, Carolyn. He currently has a very active 3 year old Standard Poodle named Henry and 3 adventurous cats named Ruby, Annie and Pheebs.

Erich C Hoffman , M.Sc.,
V.M.D.
Dr.
Hoffman has been working for Shiloh Veterinary Hospital for over 20 years. He became an owning partner in 1987 when the practice moved to Weiglestown. Dr. Hoffman went to Penn State University for his Bachelors in Animal Science and Masters in Animal Nutrition, then graduated from the
University
of
Pennsylvania
to begin his Veterinary career.
He enjoys the variety of what happens each day as a veterinarian and the bond that is formed between himself and the patient. His decision to become a veterinarian was based on being able to help animals that can not help themselves. Dr. Hoffman had many veterinary role models over the years: Dr. Newton for his poise and skill, Dr. McGrath for his humanity and humility, Dr. Schaeberle for his 'scribble on the back of an envelope' business sense that is so often correct and the other Dr. Hoffman, my wife, Kathy for putting her hard work and training aside to focus her talents on raising their girls right.
In Dr. Hoffman's downtime he enjoys spending time with his family, reading fiction and playing tennis. His love of tennis has crossed over to his tennis ball obsessed Beagle Mix, Bosely. He also has a 3 sweet old cats named Tibs, Maverick and Goose, as well as 2 grand kittens named Jackson and Stella who live with his grown up twin daughters.

Dena L Owings, D.V.M.
Dr. Owings has been a veterinary associate at Shiloh Veterinary Hospital since 2006. She graduated with her Bachelors from the University of Maryland Veterinary School of Medicine and then received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (Virginia Tech).
Like most veterinarians there is not a day of her life that she can remember where she did not want to be a veterinarian. When she was young you could find her playing with bugs, slamanders, chipmunks, anything that was ouside and moving. She very much enjoys being part of the human animal bond, when you see how important pets are to their owners and how she can make a difference. Dr. Owings says, "It is wonderful to be able to treat an illness and both the patient and the owner are so grateful for what you have done. A healthy pet can be so great for the spirit of a person." Her inspiration for her work comes from a veterinarian that she worked for as a student, Dr. John Kable. He was always so kind and willing to teach her the ropes of being a great vet.
She currently owns one of the most beautiful dogs in the world named Gracie, a mixed mutt with gorgeous eyes and shiny fur. When she is not working, she enjoys yoga, hiking, canoeing, Skiing and working out to stay healthy.

David Schneider , D.V.M
Dr.
David Schneider came to Shiloh Veterinary Hospital, as a veterinary associated in June of 2008 when the second location was opened in Manchester. He graduated from the
University
of
Maryland
and
Iowa
State
University
Veterinary
School
.
After graduation Dr. Schneider was
a veterinarian in
Hagerstown
,
MD before moving to Pennsylvania.
Growing up in a family of dentists, he was not sure if he wanted to be a dentist or a veterinarian, but it was his love of animals that evenutally won. The family's passion is not too far from his heart however, as the most enjoyable part of veterinary medicine for him is still performing teeth cleanings and in-depth dentals for pets. Dr. Schneider also loves working with people and looks forward to those rewarding moments when you can share joy and laughter with the owners and their four-legged friends.
He currently has 2 cats named Milo and Hammie, plus an assortment of fish. During his days off he enjoys in his words, "annoying his wife", spending time with his kids, playing golf or cards and woodworking. Currently he is working on a giant dollhouse for his daughters.

Deborah Hammen-Bangs , D.V.M
Dr.
Hammen-Bangs was one of the hospital's first female veterinarians and has been a veterinary associate for over 15 years. She graduated from Iowa State University.
Currently she works for Shiloh Veterinary Hospital part-time at the Manchester clinic. Dr. Hammen-Bangs focuses much of her time raising her twins, one boy and one girl.

Amanda Hurley, D.V.M
Dr. Amanda Hurley joined the Shiloh Veterinary veterinary associate team in June of 2009. She studied Equine Sciences and Pre-Veterinary
Medicine at
Otterbein
College
in
Ohio
and is an Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine alumni.
There she was a member of Phi Beta
Kappa and OTS.
Dr. Hurley became a veterinarian because she wanted a career doing what she loves, spending time with animals. She enjoys the complexity and challenge of veterinary medicine, especially when there is a pet that the owner felt could not be fixed. While in Ohio, she looked up to Dr. Mark Harris as a mentor in her field. Her devotion to her patients can be seen everyday and there are many times when the doctors and staff see her on her day off (or better yet on materinity leave) "just checking" on a pet.
When we don't see her at the office, she's spending time with her husband and sons. She enjoys going for hikes with her two dogs Killian, a Chow mix and Sadie, a Shepherd. She also has 2 cats Macavity, Chase and a bunny named Pongo.
